MWCD Internship: Eligibility, Responsibilities and Application Process

MWCD invites women aged 21–40 for policy-focused internships in women and child welfare.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) is offering an internship programme designed to engage women in policy-oriented work and research. Open to women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers between the ages of 21 and 40 years, the initiative aims to deepen participants’ understanding of government policies and schemes for women and children.

According to the Ministry, the programme will involve a short-term association where interns will work on pilot projects, micro-studies, and ongoing activities of the MWCD. These assignments are intended to offer hands-on experience in the implementation and monitoring of government programmes.

Upon completion, interns are expected to contribute valuable inputs for policy formulation, which could take the form of empirical analysis, detailed reports, or policy papers. This ensures that the work completed during the internship has a tangible impact on future initiatives.

The Ministry highlighted that the programme is not only an opportunity to gain practical exposure but also a platform for participants to directly contribute to improving the lives of women and children across India.
