MPSC Reschedules Manipur Civil Service Mains Exams 2025 Due to Printing Error

The Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced a revised schedule for the Manipur Civil Service Combined Competitive (MCSCC) Mains Examination 2022, after discovering a printing error in the question papers. The affected papers — Paper IV (General Studies III) and Paper V (General Studies IV) — will now be conducted on November 22, 2025, instead of November 9, 2025.

The Commission confirmed the decision through an official notification issued on Monday, following a mismatch between the question paper headings and the printed content.

Reason for the Reschedule

The issue came to light just before the examination began at the Imphal and Guwahati centres. According to the MPSC, the sealed question paper covers were opened in front of the candidates, revealing the discrepancy.

“It was discovered while opening the sealed cover that there was a mismatch between the heading of the question paper for Paper-IV (General Studies-III) and the content inside due to an error from the secured printing press,” the official notification stated.

The Commission clarified that such errors are difficult to detect beforehand because MPSC officials are not allowed to view question papers before the exam to maintain complete confidentiality.

“MPSC regrets the inconvenience caused to the candidates. Due warning has been given to the secured press not to repeat such grave errors in the future,” said Kh. Lalmani Singh, Controller of Examination, MPSC.

New Exam Dates and Details

The rescheduled MPSC Mains exams — Paper IV and Paper V — will now take place on November 22, 2025. All other papers conducted earlier remain valid and unaffected.

Candidates are advised to check the official MPSC website regularly for updated schedules, admit card notifications, and further instructions regarding the rescheduled examination.
