CBSE to conduct Class 10 board exams in two phases—February-March and May sessions planned.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a draft proposal to conduct Class 10 board exams twice a year. According to the draft norms, the first phase of exams is set to take place from February 17 to March 6, while the second phase will be held from May 5 to May 20.

This move aims to provide students with greater flexibility and an opportunity to improve their scores. Candidates can choose to appear for both phases, with the best score being considered for their final results. The draft guidelines are currently under review, and further updates are expected from CBSE.

  • Increased Academic Load: Some students might feel added pressure to appear twice.

  • Logistical Challenges: Schools and exam centers will have to manage additional scheduling and administrative work.

  • Impact on Higher Classes: If implemented, CBSE may extend this system to Class 12, affecting university admission timelines.
