New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the correction window for the List of Candidates (LOC) form will close on October 27, 2025. Principals and school authorities must ensure that all corrections and updates in the LOC form for Class 10 and Class 12 students are completed before the deadline.

LOC Form Correction Window Details
The correction window for the LOC form was opened on October 13, 2025, allowing schools to make changes to candidate details, subject choices, or other information. CBSE has emphasized that this is the final opportunity to submit accurate data.
An official notice reads:"Please ensure that the correction in LOC of Class 10/12 of your school is done and submitted within the schedule as per directions issued. No other opportunity for change or correction of data will be provided thereafter."
Importance of Accurate LOC Data
Accurate LOC data is essential as it is used to generate admit cards and exam schedules. Any discrepancies in student details or subjects can lead to administrative issues during examinations. Schools must therefore verify and submit the correct information before the deadline.
CBSE Practical Exam 2026 Schedule
The CBSE practical exams will be conducted from February 17 to July 15, 2026. The exam timings will be 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, except for subjects like painting and automotive, which will conclude at 12:30 pm.
This year, CBSE has introduced the two-board exam system for Class 10, which provides a second opportunity for students who fail or miss any subjects, helping them improve their chances of passing.
Student Participation and Key Updates
More than 45 lakh students are expected to appear for the Class 10 and 12 exams in 2026, marking an increase of three lakh students compared to last year. Ensuring accurate LOC submissions is critical for smooth exam administration.
Conclusion
Schools must act promptly to submit correct LOC forms before October 27, 2025. CBSE’s updated guidelines and practical exam schedules aim to streamline the board exams and provide flexibility for students under the new two-board system.
